The Vessel

Ceramic Vase inspired by Venus de Milo. The symbolism etched onto the figure is reminiscent of old Lithuanian folklore, specifically the sun worship and the serpent which is considered the messenger of the Sun Goddess. The body, the flesh, is a vessel for out blood, roots and culture.

Balance

A piece representing the identity struggle that many third culture children face growing up, managing the often contradicting expectations of their home and lived cultures. Walking on eggshells, trying to find the balance between who they are, and who they are expected to be on both sides of their identity.
